Zucchini Squash / Calabaza Italiana (Cucurbita Pepo)
This variety of good quality is characterized by its dark Green color and shiny, in Agropecuaria Malichita we only harvested fruits with the skin smooth, firm and of good size.
This squash is low in fat and very low in cholesterol and sodium. It is also very good source of vitamin A, thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, calcium, iron and phosphorus and a great source of dietary fiber, vitamin C, vitamin B6, folic acid, magnesium, potassium, copper and manganese.
· The zucchini squash was presented for first time in United States in 1920 by the italians.
· April 25th is the Zucchini Bread day.
· The squash flower is edible.
